April 2009: KM IS FEATURED IN "AT A GLANCE" MAGAZINE

KM faculty is featured in the April issue of the ex-pat cultural magazine, At a Glance. The faculty discusses life in India, work at KM, cultural exchange in the music world, what they hope to inspire in KM students, and how the students already inspire them.

April 1st, 2009: KM INITIATES A DIALOGUE WITH MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY IN LONDON, ENGLAND, FOR POSSIBLE AFFILIATION

In addition to offering A.R. Rahman an honorary degree, Middlesex University has begun a discourse with KM that could lead to an affiliation between the two colleges. If affiliated, KM students would be eligible to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree within the Honors Composition and Honors Performance departments from Middlesex University. The duration of the proposed program is three years, the first two of which would be held at KM, while the final year would take place at the Middlesex University in London.

February 2009: KM FEATURED IN "THE SCORE" MAGAZINE

The Score magazine features events and workshops happening at KM, including lectures by Leslie Lewis, Palakkad Sriram, and Rajesh Vaidhya, just to name a few.

French Professor Delights KM Conservatory Students in Two-Day Workshop

As part of a pan-Indian visit to explore the possibility of Indian-French cultural exchange, the esteemed French conductor, violinist, and composer Jean-Francois Gonzales-Hamilton spent two afternoons with the students of the KM Music Conservatory discussing his life as a musician and providing a workshop on compositional features from a wide array of Western Classical music.

Admissions open at KM music conservatory for one year foundation course(in affiliation with Middlesex University, UK) with majors in western vocal, piano, percussion, violin and flute for the year 2012-13.
