On Saturday, June 25th, 2022, KMMC played host to 16 year old Ananya Nair, a violinist from Dallas, TX. In April 2022, she debuted at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, New York, as a third place winner of the American Protege International Piano and Strings competition. She is also the winner of The London Young Musician 2022, the King's Peek International Music Competition, the Malaysian Virtual International Music Competition 2020 and the World Classical Music Awards 2022. Having been a concert master and soloist for the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra's Philharmonic Orchestra, Ananyais part of the Texas State Orchestra in 2021 and 2022.
In a short session, Ananya performed for the students at KMMC as well as the A.R Rahman Foundation’s Sunshine Orchestra. She was accompanied by Dr. Adam J. Greig, Academic Coordinator at KMMC, on the piano.She had a short interaction with Dr.Greig following the performance, after which the floor was opened up for interaction with the students.
