Coco-The Musical

The year began for us on a high note with a theatrical adaptation of Coco, an animated Disney Pixar film that revolves around the adventures of a little boy, Miguel, who would do anything to follow his dream of being a musician. Nearly half the institute was involved in this grand production as students got busy with different departments, from make up to music, choreography and costumes all of which were handled from scratch by our own students, under the supervision of expert faculty. The production was the brain child of our Western Voice faculty, Alisha Mathew Thayil. The show itself took place over two days to reach out to as many people as possible.

Our Executive Director was present to motivate and encourage the performers on both days and we were honoured to have some illustrious figures from the music scene in Chennai attend the show. A whopping success, Coco has
inspired our students and staff to undertake more such projects to promote musical theatre in the country.
