KMMC hosted the Art Song Festival 2022 from July 22-26th wherein a series of workshops took place engaging students in the craft of song interpretation, vocal and pianistic style and technique. Soprano Patricia Rozario, OBE, renowned international concert pianist Karl Lutchmayer and Head of Vocal Studies in Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Jennifer Hamilton, along with Dr. James Bunch, Faculty in Music Composition and Program Leader for the Diploma Certificate at KMMC,graciously joined hands in introducing students to the fascinating world of the western classical art music tradition.

Led by soprano Nina Kanter, Festival Director and former vocals faculty at KMMC, the students worked with the masters on composition, song structures, the art of integrating Indian and Western classical styles. The five day long festival finale was held at the KMMC auditorium on July 26th where the masterclass participants got the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a packed audience.
