Diploma

Partnership description

These programmes are validated, awarded by and quality assured by Middlesex University, UK and are delivered and assessed by KM Music Conservatory, India.

The KMMC Diploma Programme is a two-year, full-time course with a curriculum designed to follow on from our one-year Foundation course. The student will receive a the "Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) Music" on successful completion of the Diploma and transfer to London for a final BA (Hons) Year. The Diploma allows students to specialise in their chosen pathway while maintaining a balanced approach to learning about music. With pathways that explore performance, composition and production students will delve further into technical and expressive capabilities. Alongside this, students can discover new skills in orchestration, arranging, conducting, directing, song-writing, arts management, and the Audio Visual industry. Tying in closely with our industry partners, these courses aim to mould students towards careers within the Indian and global music fields. Courses exploring music and the other arts, creative trends, and critical approaches develop students’ knowledge and understanding of music as a creative field in the contemporary landscape. On completion of the Diploma programme, students will have created a 30 minute original professional portfolio that forms an ideal basis for securing further study or engaging in employment.

The programme therefore encourages students to specialise in their chosen field whilst still exploring the full spectrum of musical subject areas. An articulation agreement between KM Music Conservatory and Middlesex University allows the transfer of credit from the Diploma Programme delivered by KM to advanced standing and credit offering access to one or more specified programmes delivered by Middlesex University. Student entry is subject to availability and other entry criteria.

The current course fee for the two-year Diploma Programme amounts to INR 7,00,000/- per year, exclusive of food and accommodation. The fee can be subjected to change for the first year of the Diploma (which will remain the same during the second year only for students immediately continuing with the Second Year) as and when required only prior to the commencement of any upcoming academic year. Fees once paid cannot be refunded.

Food and accommodation (near to the campus) expenses can amount to INR 8,000/- per month and upwards based on the preference and requirement of each student.

KM Music Conservatory is proud of its affiliation with Middlesex University in London, UK [https://www.mdx.ac.uk/business-and-partnerships/academic-partnerships/our-partners/global-partners/km-music-conservatory-india].
