KMMC closed the 2022-23 academic year with the mega annual event spread over two days and three separate sessions including students from across the full time and part time programmes. All three sessions saw a grand mixture of genres, and styles, ranging from classical to contemporary, improvisation, hiphop and rock, to musical theatre and choral music. Our part time, preparatory programme kids enthralled audiences with their spectacular range and splendid performances. From instrumentals and vocals in both Western and Indian music, to staging the Hollywood classic and major Broadway show, Sound of Music, the part time kids practically brought the house down.
The full time students surpassed themselves with original compositions and with the sheer energy they brought into the programme. Under the able supervision of our esteemed faculty, they dabbled in variety and made sure they put up a presentation worthy of the institute. Whether Indian classical music renditions, clever little improvs, brilliant recitals from students from our Russian Piano Studio as well as those from the regular full time piano programme, vocals, strings, percussion, or scenes from Broadway shows like The Westside Story, The Lion King or The Greatest Showman, and even the incorporation of Indian classical dance as an art form, there was no dearth of style, panache, creativity, originality, or talent at the epic finale and the events leading up to it.
