Preparatory concert was organized for all our adorable and talented students to showcase their skills that they have garnered at KMMC. It gave them an opportunity to exhibit their extraordinary talent and also to get over their stage fear, enabling them to become full-fledged performers. It was an evening filled with fun and frolic presenting the emerging talent from different departments. Every year, this concert is celebrated as a Christmas program to usher in a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. The versatile, stunning and multifaceted stars-Suriya and Jyothika had witnessed the entire concert as proud parents of ‘Diya’. Hindustani ensemble, western classical choir comprising of adults and children, Piano recitals from across all age groups was quite a feast for the eyes and the ears. Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Burgmuller seemed to be contending with Kabalevsky and Erik Satie. Ghazal, Kajri and Khayal were some of the genres of Hindustani music along with a Tabla solo that offset the classical Arias and the popular songs from the well- known musicals like ‘The Messiah’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’ etc. As the ragas like Kirwani, NayakiKanada, AhirBhairav and Niroshta unfurled, they integrated with the strains of Dominae Ego Credini, White Christmas and Ding Dong Merrily on High. The highpoint came with the composition of our own student composer Pranav Nigam for viola and piano, played by guest artist Jordan Bergmans on viola and James Bunch on piano. All our students performed extremely well and had won the hearts of everyone present. The zeal, dynamism, vitality, high standards of rendition and charismatic appeal of the performers at KMMC is all set to change the face of music in the world.
